ScaleTrack

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

ScaleTrack is built to be private by default. The short version: your data stays on your iPhone. We do not run servers, we do not have accounts, and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.

What ScaleTrack stores

The weigh-ins you record (a weight value, the date, whether it came from a photo or was typed, and any note, tags, or mood you attach), your optional body measurements (body fat percentage and waist), your goal, and your preferences are saved only on your device using Apple's on-device storage. You can delete all of this at any time from Settings → Delete all data.

Camera and photos

When you take a photo of your scale's display, the image is processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in on-device text recognition to read the number. These scale photos are not uploaded anywhere, are not saved to your photo library by the app, and are discarded after the reading.

Progress photos

Progress photos are optional and off until you turn them on. If you enable them, the photos you take are stored only on your device, in the app's own protected storage — they never sync anywhere, are never uploaded, and we never see them. Because they are part of the app's data, they are included in your own device backup (yours, managed by Apple — not something we can access). You can delete individual photos, or everything at once from Settings → Delete all data.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, ScaleTrack can save your weigh-ins to Health and import weight entries from Health, and — if you log them — sync your body fat percentage and waist measurements — only with your permission, which you grant through Apple's standard Health access prompt and can revoke at any time in the Health app. Health data is read and written entirely on your device through Apple's HealthKit framework; it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is never used for advertising or analytics. This feature is optional and off until you turn it on.

iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud sync, your weigh-ins and measurements are mirrored to your own private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. This uses Apple's CloudKit: the data lives in your personal iCloud account, encrypted and managed by Apple — we cannot see it, access it, or share it, and no ScaleTrack server is involved (we don't run any). Progress photos never sync. The feature is optional and off until you turn it on; turning it off stops syncing, and your data can be removed from iCloud by deleting the app's iCloud data in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.

Notifications

The optional daily reminder and weekly summary are local notifications, scheduled and composed entirely on your device from your own data. They require your permission, can be turned off at any time in Settings, and involve no server — nothing about them leaves your iPhone.

Data we collect

None. ScaleTrack does not collect analytics, does not use tracking or advertising identifiers, and does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Nothing leaves your device.

Third parties

ScaleTrack does not send your information to any third party. Standard App Store transaction handling is performed by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

Children

ScaleTrack does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
